We are the Friends of the Long Necks. My name is Robert Kiley. My e-mail address is
rkileyathome@yahoo.com. I have traveled to Thailand on 3 occasions. The first time was
in 1972. I was a proud soldier in the U.S. Army serving my country during war time in
paradise. I was more than very fortunate and lucky. I was stationed in Bangkok for one
year. Back then the tallest building was the Chok Chai at a whopping eighteen stories.

I went back twice over the last three years. What a change. Bangkok is now a massive
city with sky scrappers galore. During these last two trips I met a wonderful race of  
people. Of gentle grace and beauty  these people are commonly know as the long necks.
This is because of the metal ring the women wear around their necks.

These people are Burmese living in Thailand. Having been chased and hunted from
their homes and forced to live as refugees. Hunted for their neck rings they live as guests
of the Thai people.  We are people interested in the Long Necks and interested in
helping them.
